Russian participant won the third prize of the International Dance Competition in Bangkok
From January 31 to February 3, 2019 Bangkok hosted the International Dance Competition – 2019. This year’s event was marked with an unprecedented number of participants - more than 800 dancers aged from 7 to 30 years old from Australia, Cambodia, Canada, Hong Kong (China), Indonesia, Japan, Russia, Singapore, Thailand, UK, USA and Vietnam.
The competition was jointly organized by the Australian Teachers of Dancing (ATOD) and Chiang Mai Ballet Academy (Thailand) with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Kingdom of Thailand.
Anastasia Grishina, the student of the Russian Embassy School Ballet Studio, won the third prize in classical dance nomination. She made a big impression with the dance of Esmaralda from “La Esmeralda” ballet.
The choreographer is Ms. Yulia Tutarskaya. A special emphasis in the number performed by Anastasia was made on fine dance technique, the costume and the role of the artist.
