On the Russian Film Festival

In celebration of the 125th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Thailand on December 2-4, 2022, Bangkok held a Russian film festival. The organizers were public company "Roskino" with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Russia and the Russian Embassy in Thailand. For the first time the Thai audience watched the latest of the Russian movies including feature films "The One", "Kid E-cats" (animation), "Desperate for marriage", "Bolshoi" and "Sputnik".

On December 2, 2022, at the opening of the event and the premiere screening of "The One," H.E. Russian Ambassador Mr. Evgeny Tomikhin made a welcoming speech. Prominent national film critics opined on the movie and the audience actively joined in their discussions after each film screening.

All screenings had a 100 percent occupancy rate. In total more than 1000 people watched Russian films during the festival.
