On October 21, 2015 Mr. Sergey Molchanov and Mrs. Olga Zhilina, young Attachés of the Embassy of Russia in Thailand, met students of the Thammasat University Russian Studies Program and told them about their summer trip to the Lake of Baikal and Altai Mountains.

Photos of beautiful Siberia’s nature and videos showing various outdoor activities these Russian regions can provide sparked keen interest. Judging by the fact that students asked many practical questions, many of them had already decided where to spend their future summer vacations.

Ms. Yodboon Loesrit, Director of the Russian Studies Program, thanked the diplomats for an interesting talk and presented them souvenirs. Mr. Sergey Molchanov and Mrs. Olga Zhilina in return offered a book about the Baikal Lake and proposed to “try the tastes of Siberia” by treating students and professors with Altai herbal tea and honey.
