On the inscription of the Russia and Thailand’s sites on the UNESCO World Heritage List

During the 44th session of the World Heritage Committee in Fuzhou (Peoples Republic of China), held from July 16 to 31, 2021, the Petroglyphs of Onega Lake and the White Sea and the Kaeng Krachan forest complex were, among others, recognized as heritage sites. Thus, the Committee granted the respective Russian and Thailand’s requests, which became possible largely due to the close cooperation and mutual support of the two countries on international platforms.

The next session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee will be held in the summer of 2022 in Kazan, Russia.
