On June 11, 2019 the Russian National Day reception was held in Bangkok’s Intercontinental Hotel. H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, Gen. Watcharapol Prasarnrajkit, President of the National Anti-Corruption Commission of Thailand and Mr. Suchart Tancharoen, the first deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of Thailand were among the honorable guests of the evening.

Addressing the audience H.E. Mr. Evgeny Tomikhin, the Russian Ambassador to Thailand, underlined the mutual trust between the two countries and lasting nature of Russian-Thai relations, which have been developing dynamically in recent years, and also emphasized the key role of Thailand in regional affairs, especially amidst its Chairmanship in ASEAN and ASEAN-led mechanisms.

The event was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere to the sounds of famous Russian composers performed by the Royal Thai Army Symphony Orchestra. The guests were also served some traditional Russian cuisine.
