On October 24, 2018 H.E. Mr. Kirill Barsky, Ambassador of Russia to Thailand had a meeting with H.E. General Apirach Kongsompong, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army and congratulated him on the appointment to the high post.

During the meeting H.E. Mr. Kirill Barsky and H.E. General Apirach Kongsompong discussed plans of promoting Russian-Thai military ties.

In view of the forthcoming completion of Mr. Barsky’s term of duty in Thailand the Commander-in-Chief presented him a token of the Royal Thai Army and a colorful album containing photographs of firearms that General Kongsompong has been collecting for many years.

Mr. Vladimir Marchukov, Senior Counsellor of the Russian Embassy in Thailand, Captain Alexander Popkov, Military, Air and Naval Attaché, Mr. Oleg Kornienko, Representative of the State Corporation «Rostec» in Thailand, staff members of the Office of the Military, Air and Naval Attaché and the Russian Embassy were present at the meeting.
