On April 3, 2015 H.E. Mr. Kirill Barsky, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Kingdom of Thailand, had a meeting with General Chatchai Sarikalya, Minister of Commerce of Thailand.

On the eve of the official visit of H.E. Mr. Dmitry Medvedev, Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, to Thailand on 7-8 April 2015, they exchanged views on the development of the bilateral trade, economic and investment cooperation. Mr. C.Sarikalya expressed his support for further balanced efforts to increase bilateral trade aimed at upgrading its volume to the level of 

10 billion US dollars in the near future. The Minister emphasized huge potential of Russia-Thailand cooperation and the need to capitalize more actively on competitive advantages of the two countries – Russian top-notch science and technology and highly developed Thai agricultural sector.

Mr. Oleg Maslennikov, Trade Representative of Russia to Thailand, attended the meeting.
