Colleagues,

We are delighted to be meeting with you. Thank you for accepting our invitation to visit the Russian Federation and to compare notes concerning the entire range of Russia-Brunei relations. We have good prospects for advancing bilaterally in a whole range of sectors. Today, we will also be able to exchange views on international and regional matters, on which we cooperate closely at a number of organisations.

We cooperate successfully at the UN and at organisations established by ASEAN. We appreciate Brunei’s even-handed attitude to promoting collective approaches towards solving any arising problems. We are interested in the fine political dialogue maintained between our two countries, including at the top level, being accompanied by a buildup in trade, economic, and cultural cooperation as well as in military and military-technical ties.
