Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Kingdom of Thailand 

Responsibilities

The Trade Representation of the Russian Federation in the Kingdom of Thailand is acting on behalf of its Government. It is subordinated directly to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and is an integral part of the Embassy of the Russian Federation to Thailand.

The Trade Representation represents and safeguards state interests of Russia in all aspects related to external economic activities:

• development of economic cooperation between Russia and Thailand;
• improvement of foreign trade structure;
• supervising of implementation of Russian-Thai agreements concerning foreign trade;
• disseminating information regarding economic, investment and commercial conditions in Russia as well as Russian legislation in the field of foreign trade among Thai institutions and organizations;
• participation in the Joint Russian-Thai Commission on bilateral cooperation;
• participation in the activities of International Organizations and their working groups;
• monitoring of the implementation of international quality standards;
• rendering assistance in arranging trade and industrial exhibitions of Russia and promoting participation of Russian companies in international fairs in Thailand;
• provision of information and consultation support to both Thai and Russian businesses.
