On October 23, 2017 the Thai delegation returned from Russia where it took part in the 19th World Festival of Youth and Students held in several Russian cities from October 14 and concluded in Sochi on October 22. The delegation was headed by Mr. Amnat Unardngam, Vice Minister of Social Development and Human Security of Thailand.
Thailand send 30 pre-selected talented and promising Thai students to Moscow and Sochi to participate in the most large-scale Festival in history.
The students returned full of vivid impressions and positive emotions. In the framework of the various thematic platforms young Thais demonstrated their talents including singing, dancing, Muay Thai technics etc. They were truly excited to show their peers from other countries the tourism potential of the most beautiful parts of their homeland.
During the Festival the Thai delegation took an active part in discussions with young leaders from around the world. Human rights, migration, pollution, education, innovative technologies, economics, management and business were among the topics of particular interest to the students.
According to the Thai participants of the Festival, it proved to be one of the most colorful events in their lives. The boys and girls gained invaluable experience and made lots of new friends in Russia.
The students’ trip was sponsored by the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security of Thailand and PTT Public Company Limited, one of the largest Thai corporations.
