On April 21, 2017, the Russian Embassy hosted a traditional «Intellectual Tea Party with the Russian Ambassador». This time the guest of the party was Dr. Michael Share (US), Professor of the University of Macau, author of the 2007 bestseller «Where Empires Collided».
In his thoughtful talk on «Trump, Russia and China: the first 100 days» Dr. M.Share analyzed causes of the global processes taking place nowadays as well as diverse factors shaping the controversial foreign policy of the Donald Trump’s Administration. The heated discussion which followed, with the full house and numerous questions and comments, clearly showed a strong interest of the intellectuals to this issue.
As usual, the guests were served with traditional Russian treats: pancakes (“blini”) with jam, small pies (“pirozhki”) and of course a lot of fragrant hot tea from a real “samovar”.
