H.M. King of Thailand and Thai people offer sympathy after terrorist attack in Saint Petersburg on April 3, 2017

His Majesty King Maha Vajiralogkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun has graciously expressed condolences to His Excellency Mr. Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation and to the families of those killed following the terrorist attack in Saint Petersburg on April 3, 2017, which claimed 15 lives.

Letters of condolences were also sent by H.E. General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, H.E. Mr. Veerapol Tungsuwan, President of the Supreme Court of Thailand, H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, and H.E. General Thawip Netniyom, Secretary-General of the National Security Council, leadership of the National Legislative Assembly of the Kingdom of Thailand.

For the last few weeks the Embassy has been continuously receiving letters from the Thai business community, journalist and academic circles, cultural figures and other compassionate Thai and foreign citizens containing words of sincere sympathy and support for Russia. Authors of those letters strongly condemned that barbarian terrorist attack which killed mostly students who were returning home from classes.
